Episode 3: How to Move From Employee to Entrepreneur with Paige Adams Geller of Paige Premium Denim
If you think owning a fashion company is frivolous business, think again. What can start out literally in the back storeroom of a retail shop or someone’s living room has just as much potential to go as big as any good internet company. That’s been the case with the denim company Paige Premium Denim, which in just a few short years has been rumored to have annual sales in the double digit millions. Just about every woman in the company’s target demographic has heard of the brand (and plenty of men). It’s carried at nearly every major retailer and a dizzying number of boutiques, and has turned up on dozens of major celebs. Paige has created special edition jeans for movies and nail polish collections. This all started with a fit model that after years of working for other companies decided to launch her own. Patricia and I aren’t just huge fans of her incredible fit and washes. We want to know the real dirt: How she did it.
1. Do The Research: Paige did heavy research into the denim category before she went forward with her business. Look before you leap!
2. Have Proper Financing: Make sure you have enough to pay the bills, including if you have quick success or a long dry spot to ensure you’ll float.
3. Find The Right Support: Be sure to surround yourself with people who see your vision and the right kind of helping hands. It will help!
