Women-Owned Blogher Teams Up With Sunlight Foundation on Healthcare Reform
Blogher, a women-focused online blog network founded by women, announced this past week that it’ll be teaming up with the Sunlight Foundation and its new program, OpenCongress.org, to foster and drive conversations about U.S. health care policy among women. As part of the project, women are submitting questions, thoughts and ideas to the White House via the Blogher site, as well as political director Erin Kotecki Vest’s personal blog. The Sunlight Foundation’s OpenCongress.org project plays a role as an open source, non-partisan resource to combine official data from the government along with news and blog coverage. It enables citizens to get the latest facts on healthcare reform and related issues, while Blogher will continue to foster conversation and dispel information to its community and beyond.
